COVID -19 Policies and Procedures for a Safe Environment for all

COVID -19 and Glow with Mei Response

Due to the COVID-19 health crisis, clinic hours will be modified.  Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Please book online when possible as delays are expected via phone and email.

The health and well-being of my clients, and community is my top priority. I have created new procedures and implemented some new policies to ensure the safety of all client interactions at the clinic.

While the list is long, the creation of several operational, hygiene and cleaning specific practices for the purpose of infection control and prevention have been put in place.

Things will be little different when you return, I am doing everything possible to enhance the safety of our clientele, while delivering a relaxing and pleasurable visit.

Please take a few minutes to read these details if you will be coming to the clinic in the near future.

Booking Appointments will now include a symptom screening questionnaire prior to your arrival at the clinic. Clients will be asked to complete a self-screening tool online as well as review on the day of the appointment. We kindly ask that you do so when you receive the email to help us better manage our time and avoid having to call patients who have not completed this task ahead of time.

Any person with symptoms or other cause for concern according to the screening tool will be asked not to attend their appointment.

INFECTION CONTROL AND OPERATIONAL PRACTICES

DISINFECTION AND SANITIZATION

Disinfection and Sanitization of the entire clinic prior to the re-opening of each work day – spraying down all surfaces with hospital grade disinfectant, allowing proper contact time and wiping of all clinic equipment.

CLEANING OF HIGH-TOUCH AREAS AND SURFACES

Commonly touched areas include but are not limited to: light switches, doorknobs, taps, counter tops, touch screens and mobile devices, will be cleaned after each client.

CLEANING OF COMMON AREAS

CLEANING OF TREATMENT AREAS, EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES

As usual, client contact items must be cleaned and disinfected between each use: treatment tables, chairs, towel warmer, steamer, therapeutic tools, implements and bottle and jar products. All laundry will be changed and collected for washing after each client use.

Please note new one-time use blankets are thinner than the original you are used to. Facial robes will NOT be provided for any treatments. For additional warmth bring appropriate clothes or wear loose fitted top for ultimate comfort.

HYGIENE PRACTICES FOR CLINICAL STAFF

All of our clinical team is required to demonstrate proper hand hygiene when entering and exiting the clinic, treatment rooms, after contacting certain surfaces and with any direct contact with others.

All clinical team members will don the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (mask, face shield and gloves) related to their specific patient/client care.

HYGIENE PRACTICES FOR PATIENTS

Appropriate physical distancing measures shall be followed in the waiting room. For added protection please wear a mask when entering clinic. If clients do not bring a mask, the Glow with Mei will provide a mask for a fee ($5).

All clients will be asked to clean their hands upon entering clinic and following any appointments.

CLINIC SCHEDULE

Hours of operation have been modified. More time is added between treatments, to provide adequate time to clean and disinfect clinic.

Only those with appointments will be allowed to enter the clinic. Even though we love your pets, children, family and friends, we ask that you come alone.

We will be strictly adhering to our schedule. Should you be late for your appointment you will not be given extra time and will be charged the full scheduled treatment fee.

PROCEDURES FOR PATIENTS:

PRIOR TO BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT

Once the appointment is booked, you will receive a COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire via email 24 hours before the time of your treatment. That must be completed prior to coming for your appointment.

UPON THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT AND ARRIVAL AT THE CLINIC

Please arrive no sooner than five minutes prior to your appointment.

We are trying to minimize the amount of people in the waiting room. Text me upon arrival (number will be in confirmation email). I will know to come and look for you in the building lobby to greet and bring you straight into the treatment room.

Upon arrival you will be screened verbally. Should you not pass the screening, the treatment will be cancelled (at no fee) and direct you to your primary care physician and recommend you get tested for Covid-19

Touchless administrative procedures will be used where possible (e-transfer, no cash transactions and emailed receipts/statements, re-booking) The best alternative is to add credit card to your Jane Account Profile.

That was a lot of information to digest, and I appreciate you reading through it all. Should you have any questions, or need clarification on a particular subject, please email me at glowwithmei@gmail.com

I look forward to seeing you soon! Yours truely, Mei
